University of Science & Technology, Meghalaya (USTM)

The University of Science & Technology, Meghalaya (USTM) was founded in 2011, under the provisions of the University of Science & Technology, Meghalaya Act (No.6 of 2008) enacted by the Legislative Assembly of Meghalaya and notified vide Gazette Notification No. LL (B) 87/2008/21, dated 02.12.2008 of Government of Meghalaya.

USTM is the first private science and technology university in the north-eastern region of India. It is located in a 400 acre picturesque landscape surrounded by tranquil greenery in the Assam-Meghalaya border, 6 kms from Dispur, the capital of Assam and 85 kms from Shillong, the capital of Meghalaya state and is well connected by road, rail and air transport.

The University offers varied and content rich programmes focused on the educational needs of the region and has a multi-disciplinary approach.
