National Law University (NLU) Meghalaya

One of India's top public law institutions, National Law University Meghalaya (NLU Meg) was established in July 2023 and offers research facilities in addition to undergraduate and graduate programs.

Programs offered by the university at various levels will encourage integrative legal study with a focus on research. The curriculum will be given via a technology-driven environment, with the guiding concept being "study what you want." NLU Meghalaya Admission Process

Applicants must submit a Statement of Purpose (SOP) indicating their career goals and reasons for opting for the dual degree in law for Undergraduates and a Master’s degree for Postgraduate. Such an SOP should not exceed 500 words.

Mode of Selection

Upon receipt of applications, the same will be scrutinised. For shortlisting of candidates, the following will be considered:

Personal Interview

Students will be marked on the following criteria:

General Proficiency and Aptitude
Communication Abilities
Statement of Purpose (SoP)
Interest to pursue the field, knowledge of the subject (in case of LL.M and M.S)

Session
Classes usually commence for 1st-year students through in-person offline followed by orientation.

Examination
The term-end examination is usually conducted in September, December, and May.
